About Department
The Department of Political Science was established in 2004. Currently, there are two faculty members in the department—one has completed a Ph.D., and the other is pursuing a Ph.D. The department also houses its own Departmental Library, which serves as a valuable academic resource. The department regularly organizes various academic activities such as: National-level symposiums and workshops Field visits to Grampanchayats and Panchayat Samitis Study tours and expert lectures Surveys and community engagement programs. Our alumni are successfully working in diverse sectors such as education, public administration, police services, industry, and self-employment. We have introduced innovative teaching-learning methods to enrich the academic experience and actively focus on student skill development, which is essential to understand and address emerging political issues in India.
Vision
To generate new knowledge and produce students who are well-trained in Political Science, with strong academic foundations and practical awareness.
Objective
To promote national and international integrity among students. To introduce the key concepts, ideas, and theories of Political Science. To study the political processes and actual functioning of the political system in Maharashtra and India. To inculcate human values among students and the wider society. To create awareness about national duties and fundamental rights.
