About Department

         The Department of Commerce was established in 2002 with a modest beginning of 19 students and one temporary full-time faculty member. Over the past 24 years, the department has grown steadily and emerged as one of the leading departments of the institution. At present, it has a strength of 175 students and is supported by a dedicated team of four faculty members, including three permanent full-time teachers and one CHB (Clock Hour Basis) teacher.The department is committed to academic excellence and faculty development. Among the four faculty members, three have been awarded the Ph.D. degree, and three are qualified through the State Eligibility Test (SET).

     The department effectively integrates Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into the teaching-learning process by utilizing digital tools, multimedia resources, online platforms, and smart classroom facilities. This technology-enabled approach enhances student engagement, promotes interactive learning, and improves academic outcomes. To ensure the holistic development of students, the department regularly organizes workshops, seminars, guest lectures, competitions, industrial visits, and other academic and co-curricular activities.
